Our Sustainability Promise to You and Mother Earth

So What Does Sustainability Mean To Us?

The textbook definition of sus·tain·a·bil·i·ty [suh-stey-nuh-bil-i-tee] sums it up pretty well. Sustainability is a quality. That quality is not being harmful to the environment, or depleting natural resources, which would then thereby support long-term ecological balance. At Ride Guides making sure we are doing EVERYTHING that we can to reduce our environmental impact is a top priority. While we might not be the most serious of individuals on any given day, we are VERY serious about ensuring that the natural preserves that we ride in stay that way and are around for our children and beyond.

We are a Tree-Free Company

Don’t ask us for a printed invoice, or anything in hard copy for that matter, because we are committed to being a completely Tree-Free company wherever possible. Isn’t that why they invented this “internet” thingy in the first place?

  • Business Cards are 100% Tree Free made completely from Post Consumer Waste
  • Fully digital book-keeping, expense tracking & order entry
  • Printed flyers and brochures are done on Wheat/Sugar Cane Chaff paper
  • Offset Paper Liability Waivers with Tree Planting initiatives
  • Brochures are delivered through email or by QR Code

Strive for Carbon Neutral

Not everything we do is green, and while we would love to have a Tesla for a business vehicle, they don’t make a Class 3 hitch for it, so we are stuck with what we’ve got. Also, some of the services we consume as a business are power hungry so we want to do what we can to give back to offset what we are consuming.

  • Business Vehicles are fully carbon offset each year
  • 300% Green Internet Hosting through Green Geeks

Buy Local

We are sticklers for making sure we are supporting our local food and beverage producers to keep our economy strong and we only use organic ingredients whenever possible. Besides, our locally grown food and local beer tastes better anyways.

  • We buy our foodstuffs from Nicholyn Farms
  • All lunches are freshly made, with reusable packaging
  • First choice is ALWAYS Organic, Non-GMO foods

The Name Of The Game Is Conservancy

We are dedicated to working with our local conservancies to preserve the areas in which we ride. Without those places, we would be out of work so it’s in our best interest anyways.

  • Actively participate in Stewardship initiatives
  • Assist with invasive species control & removal
  • Actively participate in Trail Maintenance & Repair
