No matter what experience you are looking for, we have you taken care of.. from flat tires to not getting lost, you don’t need to worry about a thing.

Through our partnership with Horseshoe Resort, Ride Guides is now offering the Introduction to Road Cycling package for beginner & intermediate cyclist, looking to get started or improve their Road Cycling skills. This two hour guided ride will take you throughout Oro-Medonte, one of best places to ride a road bike, on secluded roads and beautiful farm country. This ride is a great opportunity to learn and build your skills and confidence on a Road Bike. Our guides will lead you through the township and provide you with some of the critical skills of Road Cycling which will help keep you safe throughout the day.

Scheduling

The season for riding our Road Bikes can change drastically from year to year. Our Primary Riding Season occurs between the months of May and November. The shoulder season for the Ontario can extend from April through to December depending on the weather.

This guided ride can be booked anytime, weekday or weekend throughout the Primary riding season.

  • Ride Duration: 2 Hours
  • Typical Riding Season is from May until November
  • Weather dependent riding in shoulder months – April & December

Departure Point

Unless alternate arrangements have been made, this ride takes off from the Horseshoe Adventure Park Bike Barn, on the South Side of Horseshoe Valley Rd, directly within the Resort entrance (if you are using a GPS, look for 1101 Horseshoe Valley Rd). Proceed in the drive way and go straight up to the end of the road – CLICK HERE FOR THE MAP

Departure Time

Please meet promptly at your scheduled departure time. The first 15 minutes will be spent getting our rental bikes set up, going over safety, road etiquette and then we will be on our way. Tardy departures may not be able to be accommodated and we will need to be back at the chalet for our scheduled return time.

Through our network of partners we have access to one serious selection of high-end rental bikes. Whether you are looking for a solid starter bike because it’s your first time out, or you are having carbon racer envy, we have got a bike for you. With this kind of selection you don’t need to stress about bringing your rig with you. This also covers all of the other equipment you may need to rent, be it a Helmet, Protective Glasses, Gloves, Lights, Hydration… Just let us know what you need and we’ll be happy to set you up with it!
